Hello, I'm Céline
I'm the illustrator behind Linecé in Bloom, creating patterns and illustrations inspired by nature, the little details of everyday life, and the beauty of the world around us.
Becoming an illustrator has been my dream for as long as I can remember. And while I simply love drawing, there is something deeper behind what I create: I want my art to bring a little more beauty and joy into people's everyday lives.
I truly believe that our surroundings influence the way we feel. A beautiful object can make us smile. A pattern can make something ordinary feel special. And a room we love can change the way we feel when we walk into it.
I was reminded of this recently when I designed a wallpaper and installed it in our home. When my daughter came back from vacation and discovered her new wall, she ran toward it with a huge smile and exclaimed:
“Ooooh, my wall is so beautiful! It’s my favorite wall!”
It was such a simple moment, but it perfectly captured what I hope to do through my work.
I want to create illustrations that make everyday life feel a little more beautiful.
My creative world
My work is rooted in nature — flowers, plants, animals and all the tiny details I never seem to stop noticing.
I love combining the softness and imperfection of traditional media with the freedom of digital tools. Depending on the collection, you'll find watercolor, colored pencils, ink, hand-drawn textures and digital illustration in my work.
Rather than being tied to one technique, I'm interested in creating a feeling: warm, thoughtful designs with character, made to live beautifully in the real world.
I particularly love imagining my patterns in interiors — covering a wall, bringing personality to a room, appearing on textiles or turning an everyday object into something someone genuinely enjoys having around them.
Patterns with a life beyond the page
After years of dreaming about becoming an illustrator, I began sharing my surface pattern designs on Spoonflower, where my work is available on wallpaper, fabric and home décor.
That journey also opened my eyes to another exciting possibility: licensing and creative collaborations.
The idea of seeing my illustrations become part of beautifully made products, collections and interiors feels like a natural extension of why I create in the first place.
I'm interested in collaborating with brands across home décor, wallpaper, textiles, stationery, lifestyle and other thoughtfully designed products, whether through licensing existing artwork or developing something new together.
My process
Ideas can begin anywhere: a plant spotted on a walk, an old botanical illustration, an unexpected color combination, a memory, an animal, or simply a tiny detail that catches my attention.
From there, I research, sketch and experiment before building individual illustrations into cohesive collections.
I work with a mixture of traditional and digital techniques, including:
Watercolor — for its beautiful unpredictability, transparency and organic textures.
Colored pencils — for delicate details, softness and the tactile quality of the marks.
Ink — for expressive lines, contrast and character.
Digital illustration — for experimentation, pattern building, color exploration and bringing all those elements together.
Whatever the medium, I want the finished artwork to retain the warmth and personality of something created by hand.
