“Whispers of a Blooming World"”
Pattern Design Submission for TWOPAGES X
Project:
Two exclusive curtain collections designed for TWOPAGES Curtains (Design Challenge – Spring/Summer 2025)
Brief summary:
TWOPAGES invited textile designers to imagine elegant curtain collections rooted in emotional storytelling, seasonal inspiration, and soft decorative depth. Each collection was required to include a hero pattern and a set of coordinating designs, suitable for high-quality drapery and window treatments.
Key expectations included: Delicate and expressive florals - Cohesive yet distinct patterns - Color palettes that enhance calm, beauty, and natural atmosphere
✿ My design approach:
These two curtain collections were imagined as an invitation to feel: softness, quiet beauty, and the poetry of living things.
They are inspired by two moments of the year – spring and late summer – and share a common desire to bring gentle depth to interiors.
Each design was hand-drawn, then refined and prepared for textile use using vector work and carefully harmonized color palettes.
The compositions explore organic movement, airy rhythm, and subtle narrative, to let the room breathe with every fold of fabric.
This project reflects my ability to: Respond to a clear creative brief - Build cohesive, elegant pattern collections - Deliver production-ready motifs with strong emotional and decorative impact
Blushing Peony
This design is a celebration of spring in its most hopeful form.
Like an emotional breath caught between joy and stillness, each bloom of peony unfolds in softness : large, floating, ephemeral.
Painted in fine layers, the petals whisper rather than shout. The repeat moves like a garden breeze, anchored by gentle pauses of white space.
Ideal for linen, cotton or embroidered velvet, this print brings elegance and grace to any interior.
Summer’s Orchard
A vine of summer : sinuous, sun-warmed, quiet.
This design draws from fig branches, aromatic herbs, and late berries in an atmosphere of calm abundance.
The composition is vertical, directional, and gently layered, like fruit gently hanging from a garden trellis.
The artwork blends flowing foliage and delicate linework with a palette drawn from sunlit kitchens and golden fields.
Ideal for voile or cotton sateen, this print brings a sense of simple richness and movement to curtain panels.
